WHAT IS THE HALO BREAST TEST?
The HALO Breast Test is FDA approved for the collection of nipple aspirate fluid (NAF) for cytological interpretation. HALO is a 5-minute noninvasive, repeatable breast cancer risk assessment test recommended for women, 25 and older. Unlike ductal lavage, the HALO Breast Test is a well-tolerated way to collect NAF. The fully-automated HALO machine massages the breasts to produce NAF, which is found in the milk ducts where 95% of all breast cancers originate.
